No, certainly not; but remember you have always the necessary resources to face any uphill battle in life; and losing weight is definitely an uphill battle. It is also true that the exact resources you need to face your weight loss storm are sometimes locked up in the depths of your heart. Always be prepared so that you never miss an opportunity or lose the weight loss battle.

You are worth much more than you think. You are important in this world even though you may not believe it. You have to be without fear to triumph in the end. Focus solely on the end result. Conserve your energy and know that you do not need to take a giant step to reach your weight-loss goals. On the other hand, if you start and stay with the easy challenges, you may never be ready to tackle the real challenges and therefore, may never achieve any success.

You may feel you have done everything right and are still not losing weight and may become disheartened. You must have an intimate knowledge of yourself and how you react in certain circumstances. However, it is important to find not only a diet that works, but one that you can stick to. You can start by writing down everything you eat and how you feel. You should do this as you are eating your regular diet, with no changes. Don’t worry about how healthy it is at this point. If you gulp down a double cheeseburger, doughnuts and soda, then write it down. This is so you can get a baseline to compare other diets to.

Keep doing this for a week or so and you will have a clear picture of the current state of your diet, and the effects your diet has on you. Once you know what your current eating habits are doing to you, you can start looking for other diets that will improve your health.

The next thing you need to do is consider what your weight loss goals are. For example, if you are overweight, or have diabetes, then you should look for a healthy eating diet that fits those goals. However, if you are just looking to improve your general state of health, then any eating plan that appears to be nutritionally sound should be fine.

Now it’s simply a matter of repeating the process of tracking what you eat and how it makes you feel. At times it is far easier to get driven by those things we can observe, as opposed to all that is transpiring inside of us. In my humble opinion, I have found more people persist with a weight loss program if they concentrate on the emotional and internal results, more than the external/physical. The external results may inspire you initially, but it is the INSIDE OUT strategy that keeps you going.
