So you’re looking for the best diet to lose weight. What is the criteria when considering a diet that works?  There are hordes of weight loss diets on the market, but you must make sure the plan you follow will actually help you and not hurt your health. It is always a good idea to deal with misconceptions on how to lose weight in a healthy way.

In my experience, I have formulated ideas that are working for me. I always start with myself. If you do not know yourself how will you be able to make the right choices for YOU!

We hear constantly “BELIEVE!” Does it mean that if you “BELIEVE” you’ve found a miracle cure for your weight problems? That just to believe your body will be instantly transformed? No, certainly not; but remember you have always the necessary resources to face any uphill battle in life; and losing weight is definitely an uphill battle. It is also true that the exact resources you need to face your weight loss storm are sometimes locked up in the depths of your heart. Always be prepared so that you never miss an opportunity or lose the weight loss battle.

You are worth much more than you think. You are important in this world even though you may not believe it. You have to be without fear to triumph in the end. Focus solely on the end result. Conserve your energy and know that you do not need to take a giant step to reach your weight-loss goals. On the other hand, if you start and stay with the easy challenges, you may never be ready to tackle the real challenges and therefore, may never achieve any success.

You may feel you have done everything right and are still not losing weight and may become disheartened. You must have an intimate knowledge of yourself and how you react in certain circumstances. Weight loss challenges always involve your intuition. Even though you may think that you know everything there is to know about fat burning diets; knows this: you have walked only have the weight loss journey after you have walked 90% of the road.

When you decide to act, some inner conflicts may surface. It is natural that unexpected conflicts may arise.  When the desire to return to your past unhealthy eating habits become overwhelming it helps to remember the scars it left in your heart. Try to find solutions to your weight loss battles and recognize that any mishaps are not a failure, but it is a way to know yourself better and more intimately. It will strengthen you not to turn back but to stay on the best diet that works for you and thus creates a better life for you.

Have you wondered why you can’t lose weight even though you have tried everything to decrease your calorie intake? This is true since weight issues have multi-factorial causes. You can’t just rely on diet for total weight loss, sometimes there are other factors why you always gain weight. Below are some factors that you think they didn’t matter before, but once you look at them closely, you’ll see that they do matter! Check them out.

Lack of Sleep

Researchers have found out that sleep cycles can balance the hormones responsible for food cravings and overeating, mainly Ghrelin and Leptin. Ghrelin a hormone said to stimulate hunger and digestion is usually released during a prolonged empty stomach, while leptin is a hormone secreted by fat cells which creates feelings of satiety. Leptin increases along with insulin when you eat but decreases at a percentage of 15% when you sleep 5 hours or less. This means that you actually starve more and feel less full when you lack sleep, and this goes all day until you really get some serious rest. Best advice? Sleep well and get proper balance of these hormones.

Stress

Stress can be of any form and the most common stressors come from work. Studies have shown that stress actually increases your weight. With too much stress, a person is more likely to do lesser physical activities and tends to eat more. As a result the normal digestion pattern is altered. The best way to counter stress and avoid weight gain is through physical exercise and activity. Start introducing simple forms of exercise into your daily routine and do as much effort to stand and get a move on to avoid further stress.

Watching too much television or staying too long on computers

Watching too much television or even facing the computer all the time would definitely increase your weight. People usually go home from work or school and lay in the living room and watch TV the whole night. Instead of spending so much time in TV or computers, try to spend more time with your kids or dogs and play games or go with them for walks. Take note of the stagnant lifestyle that you’ve been doing. Try to correct it and spend some more time outdoor, have some fresh air and do more exercises to lose weight.

Caffeine on coffees

Drinking too much coffee (with or without caffeine) may affect your appetite and eating because caffeine increases the levels of cortisol and blood sugar. Also, caffeine may increase anxiety which in turn increases stress level. Now to avoid drinking too much coffee, you can have alternatives like water, natural energy drinks or green tea (or any sort of tea). They are much better than just relying on coffee all day long. Remember that too much of anything is bad. Try to have less caffeine by having healthy alternative beverages or drinks, and protect your health with diets to lose weight.

These factors as small as they may be they can very well ruin your weight loss program. Try to take note of these and make some necessary changes. Nevertheless enjoy the ride to losing weight. Good luck!

Go Wild: Breaking Fat Burning Rules

When you want to lose weight, there might be a number of rules you will want to follow in order to shed the pounds as quickly as possible.

That said some rules just do not work!

No matter how great they sound or how many experts can show you the results following these rules will bring you, there are a number that can be easily broken. Mind you, not always but at least sometimes.

Knowing which fat burning rules to break will give you better chance of losing the weight you would like to lose and keep it off.

1. Using certain items to “motivate” you will sometimes simply not work!

Having a size 2 pair of jeans in your closet might seem like a good way to motivate yourself towards your weight loss goals. However, let us face it for most people this is just depressing and frustrating.  Especially, if you currently wearing size 10 clothes.

The better way is to get rid of anything that does not fit.  Next step is to stop weighing yourself every day.   If you are exercising, as you should, you are building muscles.   Muscles weigh much more than fat, therefore the scale may become your enemy and might trip you to give up your weight loss journey.

2. Cut out all your love (junk) food in your life.

If you have bad eating habits, cutting out these habits, is a sure way to fall right back into them.  When the cravings kick in, you will simply be too frustrated to continue with any fat burning diet.

Instead, break this rule.  Cut back on your calories and watch what you eat, but allow yourself to have sweets and other bad food a few times a week, gradually continuing to cut back until you don’t need those foods any longer.

3. Cutting out one food group or another in general.

You need proteins, even if you are a vegetarian.  You need carbohydrates, even if you do go on the Atkins diet.  You even need fats, even if you are overweight.

All the nutrients in your body have to work together on a daily basis to regulate your body’s function, and cutting out completely one link to that chain will ruin your entire health.  Instead, learn which foods to eat in moderation and follow that rule instead.

You are in control of your life. Question weight loss rules that you come across.  It is far better to do that than to follow rules that you will entice you to break them. We are all unique human beings. One rule may work for you but not for me.  The secret is to find fat burning diets that will allow you to be what you are and at the same time guide you to a healthy new lifestyle change.

Ready to Lose the Last 10 Pounds?

If you’ve hit a plateau in your weight loss attempts and you just can’t lose the last 10 pounds, you’re not alone. Although they may have been able to lose 25, 50, or even 100 pounds, that last 10 just wants to stick, and it seems like nothing helps get it off.
