Millions of people are trying to lose weight with a fat burning diet without any success. Why is this addiction to food so difficult to conquer? If you are reading here, you most probably want to conquer your struggle against the ever-rising scale readings.

Let us face it. Losing weight with a fat burning diet is hard. However, with patience and willpower you can conquer your food addiction. You have to arm you with knowledge about nutrition and exercise.

What are the top reasons why so many are failing on a fat burning diet?

1 Many want to lose weight quickly with a diet that is just too strict. If you cut your calorie intake severely you are sabotaging yourself.  Your body thinks you are starving and automatically slow down your metabolism. The result? You are not losing weight.  Depression sets in, because you are not losing weight and then ultimately you give up.

2 Another major cause for failure is a fat burning diet without any fat burning workouts. If you do not like exercising think creatively on how you can get active.  Take a brisk walk in the park, play ball with the children, or join a dance club. Life is so full of fun things to do. All you have to do is get off from the couch!

3 The third reason is that many do not have a support system.  Get yourself a partner in this fat burning adventure.  It will make life so much easier to have somebody that shares in your lows and highs.  Also, talk to your family and friends. They must be aware of your goals and be supportive in achieving success with your fat burning diet.

4 By not having realistic goals, you are setting yourself up for failure. See your end goal, but also have smaller milestones to motivate you to stay focused.  Small victories give eventually way to ultimate success.  I have a beautiful dress (way to small for me now) hanging from the windowpane.  This way I can visualize my end result and it also gives me that extra incentive to stay focused.
