First, what is a super food?
It’s a food that can reduce your risk of heart disease, lower your cholesterol, reduce your risk of cancer, and it will even put you in a better mood. Super foods can do all of this without any side effects, and they are also great as fat burning food.
Author of Nutrition for a Healthy Pregnancy, Food & Mood and The Essential Guide to Vitamins and Minerals, Elizabeth Somer, is quoted as saying, “The effect that diet can have on how you feel today and in the future is astounding. Even people who are generally healthy can make a few tweaks and the impact will be amazing. I’d say that 50% to 70% of suffering could be eliminated by what people eat and how they move: heart disease, diabetes, cancer, hypertension can all be impacted.”
The kicker is that super foods are much more common than you might think. Here are ten super foods that you can introduce into your fat burning diet quite easily with amazing results:
1. Blueberries: Blueberries are filled with antioxidants and are also high in vitamin C and potassium.
2. Soy: Soy fibre can significantly help to lower your cholesterol.
3. Tea: Green or black tea – both have great antioxidant properties.
4. Dark chocolate: I’m not kidding. Dark chocolate can help to lower blood pressure and is full of antioxidants. I’m not so sure about this one for your fat burning diet but we all need a treat once a while.
5. Low-fat yogurt: It is chocked full of calcium and also has other necessary nutrients such as protein and potassium.
6. Eggs: Eggs are nutritious and very versatile, and they contain 12 vitamins and minerals.
7. Kiwis: This is one of the most nutritious fruits out there. It’s full of antioxidants, and just one large kiwi takes care of your daily requirement of vitamin C. My favourite fruit.
8. Salmon: Salmon is full of omega-3 fatty acids, with help to protect heart health.
9. Broccoli: It’s available year-round and is a great source of vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin K as well as fibre.
10. Beans: Beans have a high level of insoluble fibre, which can help to lower cholesterol. They are also a great source of protein, potassium, magnesium, and carbohydrates.
I bet you never thought that so many of the foods readily available are falling in the category of super fat burning food! Stock up your pantry with these ten super foods and incorporate them in your fat burning diet to shed those extra pounds and maintain excellent health.

Lol… I am not expecting Dark Chocolate can help fat burning effort. For me, fat burning food is as important as fat burning exercise. Dieting without exercise is not gonna cut it, in my opinion interval full body workout with weights is the best way to burn fat because it will build muscle fast and increase metabolic rate dramatically.
This is interesting post… so I bookmark this post using delicious.com I hope you don’t mind.

I had no idea some of the foods I eat every week were superfoods.
Recently i’ve been replacing meat with beans, may sound boring to some but if you cook them right or even mix them with meat they can be very tasty. Loads of fibre and low calorie.
This is really a great list of nutritional foods a.k.a Super foods !!
I have been adding broccoli lately and mixed with some low fat Ranch it makes for an awesome side snack.
I think,Kiwis is one of the most nutritious fruits out there. I like it the most
Yes, it is a sensational tasting fruit!
Ooooh you have to add coconut to the list. It’s free from cholesterol and can really boost a flagging metabolism to help fight the fat. And plus, in my mind if I opt for the dark chocolate version of the Bounty bar (chocolate covered coconut candy bar – to the non Brits out there), next time I do my food shop I won’t feel so guilty because I can pass it off as part of my weight loss programme!
